Code of Ethics/Discipline

Code of Ethics for staff and external faculty
  • We, the staff and faculty of CHPB, will be punctual.
  • If there is an unavoidable delay on our part, as external faculty, we will notify in advance so that an alternative arrangement can be made
  • We will allow and also promote participants to question what is said in the class and to actively participate in discussions
  • We will never be rude to the participant (but only be firm if such is required) but be courteous
  • We will take in to consideration their academic concerns and try to address those as far as possible
  • We will not penalize anyone nor favor anyone for personal reasons
  • We will do everything possible to make the time participants spend with us a happy, memorable and a useful one
  • We will provide notes, additional reading materials and lists of references whenever appropriate
  • We will maintain standards in exams and tests that our certificate will have a value in the market not only for those who carry it but also who will use it as a proof for quality
  • We will match words with deeds

CHPB mechanism in ensuring Code of Discipline for Participants

  • We start all our programs in time (9.00 or other specified time) hence be on time
  • .
  • If there is at least one participant we will start without waiting for others
  • If there is no one (after half an hour) we will be compelled to cancel   the sessions and the participants will have to bare the cost of the lecture fees for a repeat delivery
  • The attendance will be marked after the morning session (half an hour after commencement) and those who come later will have to provide a letter of excuse
  • Not being punctual on a regular basis will be notified to the sponsoring agency and hence avoid such
  • Separate attendance sheet have to be signed for the afternoon
  • Minimum 80% attendance is required to sit for the exam and to get a certificate
  • The assignments have to be submitted in time (prior approval should be taken for any foreseen delays and approval should be sought in writing for any unforeseen delays) and there will be a deduction of marks for late submissions (unless excused)

Our commitment to Participants and Sponsoring Agencies

  • We try to stick in to the given time schedules for tea, lunch, etc
  • We close our sessions in time (session that will be of longer duration would be notified whenever possible)
  • All the written assignments and test papers will be kept for a minimum period of five years and copy of the projects and dissertations will also be kept in the library
  • Written evaluation of the participants be obtained periodically, where they would also be given an opportunity to voice their concerns about the program
  • We will ensure that the faculty will come in time and any delay will be bridged by an useful activity
  • Students will be given supplementary reading material
    • Video films
    • Group work
    • Assignments
    • Library
  • Whenever possible in addition to the written assignments, written tests also should be held, to ensure that the participants have the required knowledge and skills and that the same is measured in an objective manner
  • Time tables with the identified resource persons be made available to the participants in advance with dates for submission of assignments if any
  • Attendance will be notified to the organizations monthly or quarterly depending on the duration of the course.
