The affordable & environmental friendly model house constructed at the CHPB premises under "Sevanin Piyasak" programme was inaugurated by Hon. Ferrial Ashraff, Minister of Housing and Construction Industries, Eastern Province Education and Irrigation Development on 23rd Sept. 2004 at 1100 hrs.

Presentations of work done by Disaster Mitigation Circles established under the Social Marketing Programme were held on 26th March 2005 at CHPB auditorium .

Most Popular Stall Award at  "Construct 2004" Exhibition

 

NEWS: CHPB received the most popular stall Award at the Construct 2004 Exhibition held at BMICH.

	Exhibited a model of the proposed affordable house. Displayed enlarged photographs of different wall types used during construction of the model house  at CHPB premises.
Displayed the "Slip Form" arrangement. Leaflets of the courses conducted by CHPB.

Event Highlights:

• visited more than 2500 people (more than 800 people/day)

• about 1000 people registered to get further training on low cost construction techniques.
